Ride along with a rented bike

It’s as easy as riding a bike. Enjoy your stay at one of the many Newport Beach hotels and treat yourself with a bike ride down the many streets of Newport Beach. The city has done a fabulous job at paving a safe path for bikers along many beaches and through the parks. Early mornings and evenings are the best times to beat the heat and busy streets.

Build sand castles at Newport Municipal Beach

A wide stretch of sand can make any child jump for joy especially when it’s near the attractions listed below. Newport Beach has been given a five-star rating by the Natural Resources Defense Council and is one of the most talked about beaches in America. People love this pristine gold sand strip for its relaxing atmosphere and convenient location, both which are huge factors when planning your day trip out with the family.

Take a stroll down the famous Balboa Pier

After you’re finished building sand castles on Newport Beach head to the Balboa Pier for a sunset stroll over the Pacific Ocean. A walk to the pier will be well worth your while as a delectable treat awaits you at Ruby’s Diner which sits at the end of the pier. If you’re into fishing then feel free to grab a line and join the Balboa Pier fishermen in on the fun, however, please watch your kids as there’s been talk of some big game.

Have fun at the Balboa Fun Zone

Located on the Balboa Peninsula, the Balboa Fun Zone is easily accessible by car or ferry and one of the most popular family-friendly spots in Newport Beach. Here you’ll find a little something for everyone like a large ferris wheel, arcade games, nautical museum and areas that are popular to rent bikes, take cruises, or go on a day trips to Catalina Island on the Catalina Flyer.

Explore the Crystal Cove State Park

A whopping 3.2 mile coastline and 2,400 acres of undeveloped woodland is what you’ll find during your visit to the Crystal Cove State Park. If you’re an adventurous family you’ll truly grow to love the park as many athletes alike find themselves here surfing, biking, diving, running, and hiking. It’s a place of grace and adventure waiting to be uncovered.
