When I think about 2014 the first thing that comes to mind is the morning before I boarded my flight to Taiwan and how it felt leaving my family and friends. I think about the panic attack I had on my way to Beijing and the man who let me lay my head on his shoulder. Buying my first scooter and how exhilarating it felt to drive it. That time I screamed when the sky opened up whilst driving along the coastal highway with mountains to my right and an endless mass of emerald blue water on my left. I think about teaching, and how it’s changed the way I view and care for children. The high points of standing up on my surf board and reaching the peak of the highest mountain in Taipei. But also the low points when I was getting sued for unjust reasons and panicking about my student loan payments. The delicious da’an bing – a pancake type wrap that encloses an egg and flavoring that I’ve eaten almost every day. Long distance relationships and living with your boyfriend for the first time. New and unexpected challenges. Goals reached and new goals to reach for.
2014 was a year full of many risks and challenges – most of which I never thought I’d experience. It was a roller coaster year with more highs than lows and now that 2015 is here, I’m excited to review the old and invite you to be a part of the new!
My Mini Collection of Memories From 2014
So What Now?
Now that the new year is in full swing I’ve started a list of hobbies, trips and opportunities – goals, to work towards. I’m determined to become a better photographer and grow EGE into something much more than it is. I want to focus more on my health and become closer with God. Along with my much bigger goals I would like to read more books, drink less coffee and start to apply my life to something much bigger than myself.
So… I would like to invite you to join me and EGE on a special journey.
1. Caleb and I will be going to the Philippines in January for two weeks! That’s two weeks of relaxation, island hopping, and SCUBA DIVING in the ships wrecks of WWII – how awesome!
2. In March, we’ll be flying into Singapore for our 4 month adventure through Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and possibly Laos! Stay tuned 🙂
3. Lastly – Every Girl, Everywhere is becoming a partial WooCommerce site where you can buy hand-picked products that we find unique from all over the world! Interested? Like my Facebook page here to follow all the new trends of Every Girl, Everywhere.
